In order to cultivate students' sense of social responsibility, The MacDuffie School organizes many volunteer activities and cultural exchange activities between China and the United States. The school often organizes students to participate in Model United Nations activities(MUN), National High School Debate League of China (NHSDLC), and China Adolescents Science & Technology Innovation Contest (CATIC), visits museums, participates in exhibitions, organizes English corner, volunteers in Special Education Schools or orphanages, and participates in various sports competitions , academic competitions, as well as providing domestic and international service opportunities.
Community Service is a necessary condition for American University Application. Students should gain 100 hours of service. This exercises students' communication ability and their sense of social responsibility, it also directly enriches the GPA experience.
